Psychfitwellness was born out of Miriam's passion for fitness and her desire to empower women to love themselves and use fitness as a tool for healing and well-being. Her mission is to simplify the fitness experience, making it easier for beginners to start their journey and feel empowered along the way.

 Meet ( Founder & Owner) 

Miriam

As someone who faced my own fitness challenges in high school - not being able to afford a personal trainer and feeling overwhelmed by all the confusing online content - I understand the frustration of trying to get in shape the right way. That's why I created "A Guide to Learning Fitness the Simple Way" - to share the practical, evidence-based strategies that helped me on my own journey to wellness.


Starting as a beginner in 2013, I taught myself through relentless research and trial and error. My struggles inspired me to write a book for beginners, understanding firsthand the challenges of starting a fitness journey, especially with limited resources. With 12 years of experience in the fitness industry, I've earned a degree in Exercise Science and become a Certified Personal Trainer specializing in Corrective Fitness & Exercise Therapy. My expertise lies in flexibility Training, posture correction, muscle imbalances, weak core development, Recompensiton results, Working with people with disabilities, Prehab and rehab or if you're just getting out of physical therapy.

I'm deeply passionate about helping others overcome tough times, prioritize mental well-being, enhance motor function, and correct muscle pain and functionality. In 2022, I experienced a significant personal challenge with an ovary torsion, leading to emergency surgery and the removal of my ovaries. This experience brought on issues like hip problems, lower back pain, posture concerns, and shoulder discomfort.

Drawing from my education and certifications, I designed programs to aid my own recovery, and now use this knowledge to help others facing similar challenges, particularly after surgery or physical therapy. My extensive track record includes working closely with diverse groups, such as individuals with disabilities like Cerebral Palsy, Rheumatoid arthritis, Autoimmune disorders, PCOS, shoulder injuries, knee issues, diastasis recti, as well as those managing weight and dealing with thyroid conditions.

Whether you're new to fitness or looking to take your routine to the next level, this guide will empower you to master essential movements, build a strong foundation, discover gym confidence and effective home workouts, prevent injuries, and develop a nutrition blueprint for optimal results. I'm dedicated to helping you unlock your fitness potential and transform your body and lifestyle the smart, supportive way.
